Welcome to the Professional Rabbit Meat Association (PRMA).  

Our purpose is for providing professional guidance, information, advice and the exchanging of ideas on the rabbit meat industry for the serious growers, processors, brokers, buyers and other factors involved in the rabbit meat industry.  We are extremely pleased to have many of the top names and authorities in the rabbit meat industry as officers, members of the Board of Directors, and as participating members. 

In no way is this to be a REGULATORY group by attempting to submit legislation or laws governing the raising, breeding, or processing of rabbit meat, although we will actively participate in any proposed legislation that may have negative effects on the rabbit meat industry. The emphasis, here, is strictly in the provision of PROFESSIONAL information and guidance.... FROM the professionals, themselves, for the ultimate goal of supporting, promoting and improving the professional rabbit meat industry as a whole, and for better communication between the growers, processors, brokers and buyers by the sharing of ideas and valuable experience. Naturally, for the protection of our individual businesses, the right to withhold information regarding specific "trade secrets" is to be honored at all times. 

We invite all persons interested in the professional rabbit meat industry to join us, whether you are new to the industry, or a seasoned and experienced rabbit meat producer, processor, broker or buyer. 

Benefits derived by joining the PRMA are: 

A bi-monthly newsletter with the most current news affecting the rabbit meat industry and including articles submitted by members, regular columns, a "Processors' Report" listing participating processors and buyers with current prices paid and supply/demand information (updated every two months), and much more.  Available in our Members' Only section on our web site, or by hard copy, or both.  We invite you to read our public Complimentary Issue on this web site to see for yourself! 

A PRMA Guide Book geared specifically for the rabbit meat industry and to include a variety of articles written by members and existing professionals and authorities in the industry, including but not restricted to growing, breeding, herd management, processing, just starting out, shipping to market, genetics of the meat rabbit, hybrid vigor, etc.  This guide book (when ready) will be available in either hard copy form or electronically on the internet for members, only.  Although not available at this time, work on the PRMA Guide Book is currently underway. 

A popular and active on-line listserve for members, only, for communication and discussions.  Available by individual e-mails, or in a single Daily Digest containing all postings for that day. 

An extensive "Members Only" section on our web site with valuable information, questions and answers, cage and equipment suppliers, a listing of all PRMA members (available soon), and much, much more. 

Low-cost display advertising and free classified advertising in our newsletter for all PRMA members.  Non-members are welcomed to advertise at slightly higher prices. 

Free listing for members, only, in our "Breeding Stock Suppliers" list that is publicly available on our web site.  Only PRMA members may be listed, here. 

More benefits are being planned as we continually grow, and all for a very low membership price.
